A Winter-ish Portland Family Photography Session
I LOVE when families want their Portland family photography session during the off season. Why? Because it's not as busy, there's more room for flexibility if weather gets out of hand, and sunset is earlier so parents don't have to adjust bedtimes for that soft golden light. Plus, your family can snuggle up in a warm blanket or scarves and it's a great and easy excuse to get close to each other and cuddle for photos!
This day, however, was surprisingly warm for an early March date in Portland. We were lucky! This family was amazing to work with! Easy-going, fun, silly, and snuggly. What more could a family photographer want? We resisted the temptation to jump in these giant puddles - it was hard - but we did it - and managed instead to bring out lanterns to look for fish, the puddles were that big. ;)
This location is very close to Portland - in Troutdale - just before you enter the Columbia River Gorge. It's a very easy spot to get to just off the freeway, especially those coming from North Portland or the I-84.
These kinds of fun connected sessions are exactly what I love documenting as a Portland family photographer. To find out more how a session flows, click here.
