Growing up in a split home and never really feeling like I belonged in either household after both parents remarried, I spent my childhood wondering if I was ever enough.

When my daughter grows up, I never want her to question her self-worth or how much she was loved.

​

That is why I want to capture those sentimental, loving moments. Not just for you but for your children to look back on as unwavering proof that they were indeed loved and enough.

​

It truly seems like yesterday my daughter was born but while deep in the newborn trenches,

I felt like time was at a stand still, that I could always take that photo tomorrow or the next day... but the truth is, as everyone says, it goes by in the blink of an eye, even if I didn't believe them at the time.

 

Luckily, I was able to capture some moments but I always wish I did more. I cherish the photos of her little fingers wrapped around mine, breastfeeding, or simply looking into each other's eyes.

I have three half-brothers and one-half sister who is 10 years younger than me so I was always the babysitter which annoyed me as a teenager- ha! But it taught me how to work with children.

 

I was a teacher for many years at a Waldorf-inspired outdoor school here in Portland, as well as Montessori and public schools, and simply love love love photographing family moments.

​My husband and I live in Sandy, OR - on your way up to Mt. Hood - and have the sweetest little toddler tornado running around and getting into EVERYTHING!​​
