show me the REAL stuff...
Don't worry about perfection. I don't want the perfect poses, standing stiffly for the camera, smiling awkwardly and wondering if this will be over soon. I want movement, emotion, your fingers twirling in your child's hair, their hand on your cheek, capturing your closeness and connection.
We'll let your story unfold however it unfolds. Give me the chaos, give me the fun, and all the little forever moments in between. Because those are the things you'll remember and want to look back on for the rest of your life. Not to mention, your child will treasure these photographs more and more as they get older.
THE EXPERIENCE
You get to choose the general location of the shoot in or around Portland, the Oregon Coast, Columbia River Gorge, in-home session, etc.) and we'll select a more exact location together after booking.
These photo sessions focus on your family connection, emphasizing motherhood.
In my experience, the mamas don't get photographed enough with their children. Let's put intention on capturing your love for your children, theirs for you, and everything in between.
This could mean photos of you holding your children, laughing & playing with them, breastfeeding, and just being present with your loves, documenting the beautiful and monumental feelings of motherhood.
And, of course, we will get photos of Dad playing and loving on his family, as well as group photographs. I'll give your family prompts and light direction and let the scene unfold naturally.
During the session, we'll move at your child's pace. If we need to take a snack break, we will. If we need to move faster or slower, we will. If they cry, scream, kick & yell, it's OKAY. We'll roll with it and take our time if we need it.
All I ask is that you bring your authentic selves and live in the moment with your children, however they show up that day. No stress, no expectations; an experience. Breathe. I'll take the reins for a moment.

"I feel I was given two lives,
and the second one began
the day you were born."
