Wilsonville, Oregon Family Photography Session
Absolutely loved photographing this family and at this lovely location just right outside of Portland! And can I just say that this mama nailed the wardrobe color palette for this fall family photo session?
Portland doesn't always have the best fall foliage in local nature parks - they are more in the manicured city parks or in areas with little public access, but we can always make it look more like fall with our clothing.
Two people wearing patterns (make sure not more than 2 though) and the rest in solids so that they don't start to compete for attention or look too busy. This mama did just that and mixed a couple cool tones with warm, fall tones like browns & khakis.
And then there are the snuggles: the more love and connection your family shows during the photography session, the more love and connection we'll capture. This mother mentioned before the shoot during our phone call that it is hard for her to feel comfortable in front of the camera.
I told her these lifestyle family shoots are laid back and just love on your family. When you're feeling nervous in front of the camera, look at a family member, smile and play with their hair or kiss them. Then recall a sweet memory with them to take your mind off the camera. This family did just that and they really were just living in the moment with one another and the photos reflect that!
This family told me they love to dance so I brought my speaker and played their favorite song while they danced.
