A Summer Photo Shoot in the Columbia River Gorge

Twin babies under a year old with the grandparents in the Columbia River Gorge? Yes, please! How adorable was this family? Pretty stinkin' adorable, I'd say!
This mama was nervous about her (twin!) babies staying up late past their bedtime in the middle of summer - I told her I completely understand BUT to get good golden hour lighting for her photos, I highly recommend suffering for one evening for a lifetime of photos!
I gave her some toddler preparation tips (that can be applied to babies) like pushing nap time back an hour (she said they fell asleep in the car on the way to the Gorge in addition to their nap!), she packed milk & treats & toys (and so did I just in case they needed an unfamiliar toy to keep them occupied) but they didn't need ANY OF IT because the excitement of being outside in the fresh air with a strange photographer was enough to keep them entertained for the hour. THEY DID FANTASTIC!!
Grandparents came to help and love on those babies and was such an easy session! The mama wrote back with how happy and dare-she-say FUN the photo session experience was! I was so pleased.
